The Roads..

Over the years Fernhurst and its surrounding areas have had a large number of traffic calming measures  and numerous speed limit reductions implemented on perfectly safe roads.

We have learnt to live with the speed camera in the village and the 50mph speed limit at Kingsley Green but we feel that some efforts have been excessive!

The 'hashing' of the centre of the road at Kingsley Green to create the illusion of a narrower road is pointless on what is a safe overtaking straight.

Recently the village and Kingsley Green seems to have also had a problem with some yellow and red paint which seems to have been applied to the road!

Last, But by no means least the illuminated sign brigade has invaded us! Currently there is one active and two inactive signs in the village and two more particularly ugly ones at Kingsley Green. It seems we are soon to have some Traffic signals in Fernhurst as well, take a look at the inactive signs near Fernhurst Club and at the end of Park Lane.
